Visited on Saturday tea time, 5.30pm. We were surprised at how busy it was. A lovely lady showed us to a table upstairs, as the bar area was already full. Good menu to choose from and good friendly service. I had chilli con carne with rice and hand cut chips, my husband had Cumberland sausage with mustard mash, onion and red wine gravy and fresh vegetables. Plentiful portions and very nice too. Came here for an evening meal while on holiday nearby. The food was fantastic, I had the pork medallions which were amazing. Very welcoming atmosphere in a great looking local pub. I would have no hesitation visiting again next time I’m here. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
