La Locanda - FIUMICINO

The food was excellent and the service outstanding. We enjoyed the ambience and the server’s sense of humor almost as much as we enjoyed our gnocchi and cacio e pepe. Just a fantastic experience if you’re staying at Hotel Isola Sacra it’s an easy, not even 10 minute walk. Eat here!!

Went to the hotel, after a 100 degree day in Rome, phones not working, missed our first train because of phone issues. Just wanted a nice dinner. A waitress got annoyed when we asked if they had a/c and walked away. Waiter then told us to sit wherever we wanted. We weren't given water, or any attention, till I caught his eye after 10 minutes... despite a number of staff standing around talking. Dinner was delivered by someone else, and we never saw a staff member again during the meal. It was interesting that staff interacted with most of the clients, and seemed like they were familiar with each other. Was it because we asked about a/c or that we were the only Americans there?

I walked to La Locanda at 2:30pm, nice guy welcome me and invited to sit (at 3pm They are closing . I have ordered three kinds of bruschetta as I am very enthusiastic about that apetizer. Three kinds was excellent: one with tomatoes, one with garlic pasta (i am not sure what else with garlic and other one with eggplant. Really good taste. Main dish: fettucine al Ragu- very tasty. Sauce was really good cooked. I paid 19€ for bruschettas, pasta and beer. Waiter was really helpful and friendly. Place was empty but maybe because of time... do not know : The only thing which I do not like was a Peroni- pint for 5€. I think this is a little big too much as a bottle of Peroni 0,66ml costs 1 euro. I can recommend this place while you staying around.

Simplicity in a typical decor of the inn a cozy roberto owner will welcome you and you will eat a menu based on fish but also other that will leave you more than satisfied, from appetizers to the first and the second come here to get some fish molluscs ostriche the raw and so much more always fresh, if you want special things the booked and there is will find them, the prices are appropriate to the quality and the wines excellent courtesy recommended
