Peggy's Celtic Bistro

Great pub always hit up Peggy's when im in town decent food and choice of drinks, quiz night was a bit of fun too.

Big roomy pub. Huge beer selection. Friendly staff. We got small fries to share for two ppl and it was plenty! Also got beef and Guinness pie and the sunday pork roast. The pie was flaky and the filling was gooood! Not dry and just enough juices. The roast gravy was wayyyy too salty unfortunatelybut the serving was generous!

Third time this week we ended up at Peggy's. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was superb and it was close to where we were staying. This is a definite must stop if you're staying in New Plymouth you won't be disappointed. Kudos to the staff who made it all the better!

Stopped in for 2 early rugby world cup matches (8am), which was awesome and really appreciated somewhere to go to get the game atmosphere. The only complaint was that they were only serving one breakfast option. But otherwise, it was a great experience!

Had a excellent evening of live music . Really friendly and fun Bar Staff and patrons. Highly recommend having there full cooked breakfast ! It puts hair on your chest and lead in your pencil
