William's Southern Soul - Fitchburg

For dessert, I had some watermelon, along with banana pudding. The pudding was good, but it would have been fantastic if it had Nilla wafers in it. I also tried the sweet potato cake; it was small, but tasty, and reminded me of pumpkin cake. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

My husband and I ordered the curry goat served over rice, along with the homemade sweet potato cake. The cake was paired with vanilla ice cream and optional whipped cream, and it tasted just like the dishes I remember from historic Mississippi soul food restaurants. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in a cozy spot full of character and warmth.

I've been on the road a lot and have always wanted to check this place out. I love soul food, and we decided to have breakfast here. I was not disappointed; everything was absolutely delicious. It's often hard to find good grits and catfish, but they nailed it! The food was incredible. The waitstaff was also very friendly. The restaurant itself is a quaint little building that captures the charm of the 1950s. Just step inside and prepare to indulge in some southern delights. I can't wait to come back and try their lunch and dinner!

It really enjoyed: The owner is a great guy! I went with my husband and I have to say the staff is very friendly. I ordered a pulled pig, crowned green and it was so delicious. I had also ordered the breakfast of berries and French toast and I loved it. Besides, the prices were so cheap. On an Ocassion the owner actually came out and imagined and began a very pleasant conversation with us and the customers, which shows that he actually interested in the people who go there.

Wonderful old time diner! Friendly, clean atmosphere with fantastic southern soul food including gumbo, catfish, and jambalaya. Extensive contemporary breakfast, lunch, and dinner and fresh, seasonal homemade dessert menu. Something for everyone! Take out available. Try it-you won't be disappointed!
