Nickel Plate Grill - Fishers

Have eaten here half a dozen times. Each time the food was excellent. Great atmosphere for gathering with friends or co-workers. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Convenient location in downtown Fishers.

I've lived in the Fishers area all my life (59 years). I've seen the Nickel Plate when it was just a bar and change throughout the years to what it is today. On my cousin's birthday we took her and her sister and brother in law there for supper/dinner. Yesterday (7/12/08) my sister and her guyfriend bought tenderloin sandwiches, cole slaw and baked beans there and brought them to my Dad's house for his 86th birthday. I can tell you that the out of nine (9) tenderloins the only one that had any gristle in it was Dad's yesterday. He mentioned to me that the sandwich was very good just too big. I cut mine in half so I'd make sure the have room for the ice cream and peach pie that I had taken for the special day!!! No one that I have found yet can beat the Nickel Plate's tenderloins and having eaten one of their Reuben's, I found that to be very good too!!! Service has always been good. I hear Tom Harper makes some mean potato skins and I can't wait to try them!!!!!
