Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We didn't have time to shop, but it's fun to look around. I've only purchased a couple of times in the store part. When I first went a few years ago, I didn't like what I ordered. Fortunately, I finally found items that I really like.

Our server, Susan was so nice and on top of her game by keeping our drinks top off, checking to see if we needed any thing else, etc and her cheerfulness was contagious.

Cracker Barrel is a comfort food staple. Chicken fried chicken, dumplings, and blackberry jam covered biscuits are a tough act to beat! Friendly service, well prepared food, little bit crowded (can't take people anywhere,lol) and the new table side checkout was smooth.

CB is one of our defaults on long road trips. This was our second time stopping at Fishers. The host sat us quickly. The waitress was friendly, quick, and accurate. Momma 's Breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes) and the Chicken Dumplings are favorites of ours. The fried chicken at most CB 's is great. This time it was very over-cooked and dry. They replaced it, but honestly shouldn 't have brought it to the table to begin with. It was obvious just by looking, but my patient MIL tried to eat a bit before returning it. By the time they brought a new plate, everyone else at the table was done.

Always love going to Cracker Barrel. In the summertime when the weather is nice I almost hope they’re busy. So I can sit on the front porch in a rocker. Always meant to buy one and take home, but never have. Save money to buy some old-fashioned candy. If you’re my age and you remember the Candy counter at the five and dime store. Then you’ll recognize a lot of the candy here. Overall, you’ll have a good time in a nice atmosphere, with good service and great food. I suggest a seat near the fireplace my personal favorite.
