Trattoria I Due G - Firenze

We ordered the meat and lasagne and red wine and some bread. The food came together as we asked. The lasagne was pretty okay. The meat was cold and the portion was not too big. The price for the meat was overpriced. Bread was okay but nothing specific. Wine is good as always. We paid for the meal for around 50 euro. I think it is a bit expensive.

We were expecting to like everything we ordered but we were not prepared by how grisly the florentine steak was. It was tasty but very tough. The 2 pasta dishes were also very average. It was our first meal in Florence so we were a little disappointed. The service, I suppose is to be expected as we didnt speak the language and could not chat with the wait staff.

I first heard about this trattoria watching an Italian YouTuber Abroad and Hungry. When I saved the restaurant on google maps, I found out that it was very close to my hotel. The entrance was very small and simple but when we asked for a table for four, they took us to a much bigger room with several tables surrounded by art on the walls. The crostini antipasto was good as well the lasagna, risotto and soup. The local Chianti, was great. We couldn’t be happier with that choice. Everything good and delicious.
