Contribuiți la feedbackThis was one of the best meals we had in Florence, wow! We came a few minutes before they were actually open and they seated us instead of making us wait outside, which was very nice of them. The staff was so lovely and explained the menu to us, since it was written in Italian. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious, and you are able to choose the sauce you want for some of the pastas, which was very nice! We ordered the cannolis, lemon raviolis, gnocchi and lasagna in the first round, and everything was SO good wow. Because it tasted so good and the price is pretty cheap, some of us had to try some more dishes. So in the second round we tried raviolis with zucchini and cheese and 'Testaroli alla ligure ' which was a special type of pasta with potatoes, green beans and pesto and wow, it was such a surprising and absolutely delicious dish. We also had desserts, and they were just as delicious! The restaurant is only open from 12 to 14.30 and it got filled up sooo quickly after we came which is no surprise. I cannot recommend this place enough. The restaurant is so pretty, light and authentic, the staff is absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful and the food is amazing!
My family and I were staying in an AirBnB accommodation in the Cure section of Florence during our recent and first time visit to Italy. Our host, Lorenzo, recommended this place for lunch (they are only open for lunch) and said not only was it delicious but inexpensive. On a day when we were staying close to home , we walked the few meters to check it out. We arrived around noon and slipped in, able to find a table immediately. Good thing because it got busy soon after. A gentleman, who I assumed to be an owner, came over and explained the different choices to us. There were four pasta choices and about 8 sauce choices ... pick your pasta, pick your sauce for 5 euros. We didn 't have any wine with our meal, but that was an extra euro for a pitcher (less for partial pitchers) and then there was dessert ... your choice of panna cotta, tiramisu, and cheesecake among others, for an additional 2 euros. Our family of 3 ate very well that afternoon for 21,50 euro ... the best and least expensive meal we had while in Italy. I am not sure I will ever be able to go back to the dried pasta we purchase at the stores in the US. We had hoped to go back for a 2nd lunch but ran out of time. It will be on our list of places to visit when we return ... and we definitely will!
Reached the restaurant 15 minutes before the opening time but was still welcomed into the restaurant. Chef came to explain the menu for the day and translated from Italian to English patiently for us, telling us the ingredients used in each dish. While waiting for the food, the chef came to us with a small plate of ravioli and tomato soup for us to taste, which is a lovely gesture from him. The pasta and dessert that I ordered tasted wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to grab an affordable yet delicious meal.
I've known this store for several years and sincerely I don't think there's any other of them at least in the midst of south firenze. I've never had lunch, but I serve them for the gastronomic specialities. the pasta is great and I recommend the tortelli with lemon, the cutlets, the lasagna with ragù or the artichokes. excellent parmesan cheeses (fantastic as appetizers with balsamic vinegar) , polenta with black cabbage, passers, ragù, duck or wild boar, ricotta cakes. are so many of their delicacies. Do not miss the opportunity to taste them
Tiny little place, very homey feeling. The pasta (which you can also buy take away and then cook it at home) is veeeeery good, really delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is also very friendly. This place is a must for those who work or live in the Cure district. Amazing place, bravi!
