The Dreel Tavern - Fife

A really nice place and beautiful staff. had economical for starters (actually it is a side on the menu,) which was delicious and perfectly cooked. do they with risotto (especially) for anyway very nice, but I think the fish was sliiiiiightly over, probably would have been better if it was done quite, but honestly it was very easy, and it was really pleasant overall. I had a drink. they can choose from a selection. I chose chocolate, tablet and skyberry sorbet. the tablet ice cream stood through to the best, really creamy and small pieces of tablet. sorbet was nice. chocolate was decent, kakao y but I in the regular (personal) rather rich chocolate ice cream and that was 't, but of course, that's just my preference. had to drink: pilger aus st. andrews, which was really good. they also had a local from crail, but I did not try to have one (although I have a feeling, I might already have a bottle to house anyway). also beautiful and dog friendly, brought my dog water as priority without my question and gave me some tasty things that I could give her. and the floor was clean so there was nothing she could eat, which could be bad for her (not always something that all 'dog friendly' places think to keep an eye on). I can't believe that I grew up close and the first time I'm going, I'm gone after years!

Quick stop today for the suppe of the day carrot, papasnip, thymian. unharmed! Maybe one of the most comforting and unexpectedly tasty meals I had. and salt and pepper on the butter for which was accompanied insane! So if they are ever in anstruther, I would recommend to stop to see what is on the menu they enjoy.

Visited aug 2021 with friends for a high-time anniversary for my wife and me. fantastic old pub in a good location and eating was excellent. highly recommended!

A brilliant pub with a glowing fire and absolutely fantastic eating. highly recommended as we visited in anstruther twice in our 3 days

First time at Dreel even though I'm fairly local! Food is incredible, service is fab. Can't fault the experience! Very relaxed environment but high end gastro pub food, local ingredients and specials were very different! Won't hesitate to come back again or recommend!
