Çobo Winery - Fier-Cifci

Worth a visit. The terrain is beautiful with the mountains as a background. Before we made the wine tasting, we had to pick up limes and stroll into the vineyard on the grounds, then we went to the cellars and learned about the vineyard. The wine tasting itself is excellent. The room in which it is held is very comfortable and environment with beautiful artwork hanging and vintage furniture. They tell about every wine before tasting and offer snacks such as cheese and olives to enjoy the alcohol. I had the best sheep and goat cheese here. It was so good that they brought us another tray. There are also Raki and Brandy you can taste and after that you have the opportunity to buy. It's quite expensive to buy, but I think that's to be expected. If you are looking for a winery to visit Albania, this should be your first choice!

We spent a great time in Çobo winery with my wife and we recommend you to go there when you are nearby. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, not only that they introduced us into the viticulture, but they also gave us some advice on what places to visit near Berat. We also took part in a wine tasting that was an unforgettable experience. The cheapest option was 15 eur per person from 2021, but it was no problem to share it, it can be particularly convenient when a person drives like I was. We received 4 different types of wine, a walnut raki (a strong Albanian liqueur from grapes and some delicious appetizers. All in all, it was worth going there and we are sure that this experience will stay in our minds for long:

Wine is good. Prices are very huge. Bottle of sparkling wine is 40€. For this price i can take wellknown french or italian brand, not unknown albanian. Approuch to tasting must be improved. I asked for wine card or some description what they have for tasting. Answer was like this: we have 2 white wines and 2 red wines. For snack olives, 2 kinds of cheese and cracker. They give you bottle with italian water filled by themself and many times use. No coffe or juice for child even. No any meals. Price list must be updated. One wine from it they don't have anymore, another 2 are not included. They give you only 2 glasses for 4 wines. After white wine they pour red the same glasses. After my insist they give me separate glasses for each wine.

This is easily described as a place with a soul... Brothers who own the winery are 100% committed to this place. We took a tour and taste the collection. Wines are super good, especially if you are a fan of enticed wines. Most bottles are too expensive for regular customers, but Zou will find a bottle to also take home for your bag.
