Punto Veg - FERRARA

Well, this is a totally marvellous vegetarian bistro, especially if you’re looking for a warm welcome and outstanding value. It sports a smart modern frontage and it’s well-situated in the heart of the old city half-way up a very long, quiet street. It’s a tiny place, though, with limited seating: just two tables for 2 or 3 people each; plus some bar-style counter-seating (for around 5 or 6). It’s run by a very warm, friendly and efficient Italo-Palestinian family, and it offers a wholesome and completely delicious menu. I definitely recommend the tasting plate, which incorporates not only falafel but also some beautifully grilled veggies. We (two of us) took one of these plates each plus some sparkling water and felt we’d eaten a superbly healthy, tasty and substantial dinner. And the grand total of our bill was €14! The only downsides are: there’s no outside seating (the pavement’s just too narrow); and there’s no loo. There’s a rather nice bar immediately opposite, though, with both outside tables and extremely good facilities; so we didn’t find it at all inconvenient to adjourn there for our coffee after enjoying such a thoroughly satisfying — and inexpensive — meal.

We had an exellent time in Punto Veg. Alice and her Brother are the nicest people and the food is very delicious. We had a lot of fun!

We stumbled on this place during a recent day trip and had a wonderful lunch, better than anything we had expected in Ferrara. The falafel were the best we 've ever had, with a thin crisp fried crust covering tasty falafel goodness inside! You can order them plain or stuffed with vegetables; both are excellent. Alice and Johnny, the brother-sister team who run the restaurant were extremely welcoming and friendly, replying to all our questions, both in French and in English. Our vegetarian son pronounced the Leonardone falafel burger delicious and we enjoyed our Epicuro panini sandwiches. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially for made-to-order food of this quality. We wish we could return for another meal tomorrow!

I FALAFEL PIù BUONI DI SEMPRE nessun altro regge il confronto! tutto ottimo! Verdure grigliate, babaghanouj, hommos e dulcis in fundo una foul mudammas da leccarsi i baffi! CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!

Una buonissimo opzione per mangiare humus, babaganushj falafel imbattibili e molti piatti di differenti paesi e culture, dal Libano alla Palestina alla Giordania. Suggeritissimo
