Freshies Cafe - Fernie

I got coffee at Freshies 3 times while I was visiting Fernie. Delicious coffee and pastries and right across the street from the yoga studio! Check it out.

Good coffee. Relaxed service when busy. Polite and kind staff. Good outdoor seating area with shade.

I loved Freshies when I lived in Fernie in 2015 and 2016. I came back to town, I thought I'd give a try to the new location. While the actual coffee could be good, I would not recommend the matcha latte. Paid $6 for a drink full of two-thirds and basically flavored milk. There was hardly any matcha. I like that they have adopted Infinitea's concept and offer open microphone nights and some Boozy coffees and cocktails (as Infinitea permanently closed), and they have a cute local artist section of shopping. Five stars for kindness of service. Five stars for the environment and cosiness, whether you want to go there and work on a laptop, or go up for a date/catch. Three stars for snacks. A star for Matcha latte.

Coffee was good, but my Scoone tasted in a way that I can only describe as "perfumy".
