Inn By The Falls - Ferndale

Went there this weekend when it was very hot outside. The restaurant has fans but no air conditioning. It wasn 't hot in there but after our yard sale we were looking forward to being cool for a while. For some reason none of the tables were set with candles or silverware, making the place look kind of unwelcoming. The view of the falls is stunning but shouldn 't be relied on totally for atmosphere . The dining room looked stark and the taxidermied young bear looking out the window could upset some folks. About the food: Delicious fish and chips the chips are hand made and perfect and the fish was perfectly cooked in a batter lighter than angel 's wings. Another in our party had shrimp scampi shrimp of varying sizes and the accompanying pasta was very dry. Lastly was the falafel burger with fries that was enjoyed, We also started with the Caprese salad which 3 people shared with plenty for all of us for an appetizer. Looking forward to going back to see if they 've set up the dining room to be more inviting .
