I think they should put a fake ceiling over the section that has the littler boxes so that the smell of litter is not everywhere. The litter box area needs to be enclosed for the smell to go away. Also, maybe should have a separate section for new cats to get introduced instead of pointing at a cat and saying that he gets aggressive when touched…and then there are three cats looking like him and you keep getting yourself clawed. If you make a cozy separate room in which people can enter, close the door and have a cautious interaction, it will help the cat too. It would be nice to make the place feel more cozy, add couches, rugs, add a wall in the middle to have different areas and make it more interesting for humans and cats. Right now it is just a warehouse with cats and a few chairs. Good idea, poor to ok execution. They ll need to figure out those logistics. It’s really not a place for people who want to adopt their first cat. What they want is people who have had multiple cats already and want to have more. When we went it was a very unfriendly atmosphere where we were treated very coldly like we were in an out group.
I had a wonderful time hanging out with all the different kitties. Loved getting to just relax with a coffee and a cat.
We were there for a total of five minutes before leaving. Entrance with the coffee and refreshments is gag inducing with the strong cat urine smell. Employee in the actual cat room seemed very annoyed we brought our young son. If you don’t want small children to be around, make this a clear policy during the reservation process. All in total we spent $45 for five minutes of time.
Such a cute idea for the the cat distribution system! The place is very clean and the cats are very social. What a great idea!
