It's indeed not popular and locates at almost the edge of Ashfield central area.<br/ <br/ The deco is very simple, and you may even not spot this restaurant when you passed by.<br/ However, one thing that really surprises me is that they have karaoke equipments on the second floor. So this place becomes ideal for parties.<br/ <br/ The restaurant was a Sichuan restaurant, but now it is a restaurant with Tianjin dishes.<br/ The #Beef bone# takes the best part--The knee of the cattle, and cooks in a way that the bone tastes so soft. The dish is in high protein and is quite unique, as I rarely see something similar in other Chinese restaurants.<br/ <br/ They also have lamb dishes, which cooks lamb in traditional Tianjin way. #Beef pie# is full of meat, and is cheap for $5 each.<br/ <br/ So in general it's OK but not perfect. Those 5.0 reviews seems to be deceiving, or in other words, not reviewing critically.

Best sichuan I've had for a while. Don't ignore the lamb dishes too. It's worth exploring a bit more of the menu outside of the classics we went with some friends who don't usually like hot food, but two cans of Solo was enough to douse the fire.
The best szechuan in the inner west! They even grow this traditional szechuan salad themselves, which nowhere sells in the chinese supermarket. Sure puts in a lot of work.
Wow. I've been dreaming of this place since I visited a few weeks ago. As a former Ashfield resident, I have tried out a wide variety of food in the suburb, but this is some of the best I've tasted in Sydney. As Brian mentioned below, the slow cooked pork shoulder is to die for. Holy **** I'm salivating thinking about it while writing this.<br/ <br/ The salads were full of flavour, and the prices are very very reasonable.<br/ <br/ Lastly, the service was impeccable. You could really tell how much the man serving us cared about the food, having a great understanding of the tastes. Thank you!
