The Chocolate Room

Looks great. Fails to deliver. Sorry. I had high expectations from what I saw on the website but it was a teeny shop with microwaved donuts which then turned them stale and super slow service. They had pictures of super chocolatey things on webpage but we couldn’t find those desserts on the menu. I wish them well. I hope this review helps them improve as they are lovely people.

This shop was smaller than I was expecting, only about 8 tables inside. We came at lunchtime to have milkshakes and it was pretty quiet. Cute little place though, with dirty menus and a water filter that you could serve yourself. They do have high chairs but the bathrooms are inside the shopping centre. I got a golden gaytime bomb and my husband got a mars bar shake. Our shakes were great but the donut on mine was dry and heavy. Our son really enjoyed the wafers with a little of the toppings on them. The shop wasn't fully stocked and it was NYE so not sure how many deliveries would be coming over the next few days. They were out of the salted caramel, that was the shake my husband wanted originally. I overheard them telling a lady that they were out of apple juice but could make up fresh juice, you get served these massive shakes with no serviettes or spoons to help you out and their eftpos machine wasn't working. Sometimes it's the little things that make all the difference.

Visited for an after school treat. We had a table of ten. Great table service, great variety in menu items, food was delicious. Kids had a great time with their Halloween decorations too! Have been a few years ago and will go again. No complaints here! Was a fun afternoon of indulgence

I drove here to get an arvo tea for my sister and I, was looking at their cake selection... (which wasn't much) and finally decided on one and took it home. As we cut into it to share, we knew something was already off.. took a bite.... stale and hard... my sister flipped it over and saw the cake was mouldy!!!! Seriously, how does that even happen in this day and age. Now I need to make time to go get my money back, but I will say I called back, and they are happy to refund me... but only for the cake. Not for the rest of my order. Not going there again!!

My wife and 3 kids arrived for a cupcake and hot chocolate for their birthday. When the staff became aware of their birthday the boys were surprised with a special birthday treat which really made their afternoon. Well done and thank you!
