Great place for a good healthy meal. Staff are always happy to help with the selection. Ability to order set poke from the menu or design your own. This place gets very popular with the lunchtime crowd, so I suggest that you try to get there early. Love this place!
The best thing about NAMA Poke is their consistency. Every single time I have been the ingredients are always so fresh and of the best quality produce. The service is outstanding and during my busy office hours it's great to be able to pop in and out with my order so quickly regardless of the lines! Definitely the best poke bowl I've had to date.
I was craving poke but unfortunately there are not many places around the Sydney CBD serving up good poke bowls (Sake Jr at Grosvenor Place near my office recently closed down) so I decided to take a little stroll down the other side of Wynyard to pay a visit to Nama Poke. And I’m glad to report that I may have found a new favourite ! Like most stores, Nama sells pre planned bowls but you also have the freedom to build your own bowl. They have quite an extensive menu, but slightly disappointingly most of the more exciting options such as tuna require an additional charge of 1 2 dollars. Such is life. <br/ <br/ You start off with choosing a carbs base, 1 2 protein, up to 4 veggie options, 1 sauce and 1 topping. I had a salmon sashimi white rice bowl customised with corn, edamame, pineapple and flavoured with ponzu shoyu and crispy garlic. It was a great meal for the affordable price of $13, the salmon was fresh and the condiments were well seasoned and delicious. My only small gripe was that you were only allowed one free topping as you could get unlimited sauces and toppings at Sake Jr, but you could easily fix that by paying the nominal fee of 20 cents per additional topping. Would love to come back again and try their kingfish and potato noodles!
Nama Poké breathes some variety back into poké bowls, offering some extra choices for customisation not seen at other places. In particular we love the different bases available like sweet potato noodles, zoodles and soba; as well as the option to add an onsen egg into the mix. Apart from the extra customisation options, the poké is pretty standard full of fresh, crunchy and colourful goodness!
