I absolutely love visiting this healthy and wholesome café in Balgowlah while walking my dogs at North Harbour Reserve. There are so many delicious breakfast and lunch options to choose from, but the highlight for me is definitely their fantastic coffee! The toasties, salads, baked goods, and ploughman's platters are all wonderful! Additionally, they offer the best homemade dog treats that our little ones can't resist and have come to expect every time we visit!

Nestled among valleys and hills in a peaceful suburban area, Hush... It's Forty Beans is a hidden gem. It's always a pleasure to plan a day for a walk along the dog beach with friends, exploring the nearby bushland and enjoying views of white yachts, boats, and small dinghies on the oyster-covered stone barriers. This little café may seem ordinary, but it stands out with its quality food and service. The prices are reasonable for the region. We tried the arancini, which were a bit softer than we're used to, but the accompanying salad was excellently crafted. The chickpeas were perfectly coated, and the flavor was fantastic! The Forty Beans platter was very simple but humble and well-presented. There’s no fuss, which is what I love about this place—consistent presentation and food every time. The ham, cheese, and relish are all top-notch, and the bread had the perfect crust that I adore. The coffee was from Toby's Estate, which I can’t fault. They even have these adorable retro cups for milkshakes, which are a delicious treat! It's definitely worth a visit with your pup. The views are great, and the service is amazing!

This cozy venue features a large communal table and bench seating by the windows, where you can enjoy views of the beach. The young female waitstaff are an incredible asset to the restaurant with their cheerful and friendly demeanor. We ordered the toasted cheese, ham, and veggie focaccia, which was absolutely delightful—fresh and not mass-produced. The homemade desserts also seemed very popular with the other customers. Everyone enjoyed their coffee, which was well-balanced and not too bitter. This little gem is the perfect spot for a bite to eat in a relaxed, chilled atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of Manly. Keep up the great work, Forty Beans! We will definitely be back!
