Burger Hounds - Feock United Kingdom

This place has certainly gained a very strong reputation in the burger market for Sydney, even though it’s in the burbs in Wahroonga. This means they’re doing a lot of things right and people are noticing it. We’d been meaning to visit for ages having seen tasty pictures of their offerings.

If you haven’t been here then seriously you are missing out.<br/ <br/ Been here several times and have never ever been disappointed. They use high quality ingredients, do not skimp on serving sizes, and are always friendly. <br/ <br/ On this occasion I got the special burger titled ‘Death by Canadian’.<br/ <br/ This was my unicorn and first ever 5/5 burger.<br/ <br/ Every element was sensational, from the beef, to the poutine, to the maple bacon jam, to the cheddar mayo, to the grilled cheese curd slab. <br/ <br/ Can’t wait till dine in re-opens, as much as I like takeaway you can’t beat the dine in experience.

This was the pinkest burger patty that I’ve seen for ages and I liked it, even if it was a little chewy. Didn’t seem as big as in the promo photos but still a good size for the price. The rest of the burger was ok, special sauce drowned out by the ketchup and mustard. The hand cut chips were cooked pretty well and only an extra $3. It’s set up for takeaway, with a few stools inside and some tables on the footpath but you’ll have to listen for your order to be called and get it in a takeaway box.

We had the following for lunch today: <br/ 1. Kids burger<br/ 2. Kids hot dog<br/ 3. Old Smokey<br/ 4. This little piggy<br/ 5. Med chip with chicken salt aioli<br/ <br/ The former 2 were what’s typical for kids menu, basically buns, protein and a dollop of sauce.<br/ <br/ Old Smokey was extremely tasty with 2 strips of bacon- as if x marks the spot.<br/ This lil piggy was equally as delicious with strands of pulled pork! <br/ <br/ The medium sized chips were crispy and crunch with generous helping of aioli.<br/ <br/ I can see why the locals (and those outside the suburb) give it a 4. Everything is as expected- its be a 5 if not for the price. But I suppose you get what you paid for so no complains from me.

Excellent burgers especially the Smokey one! It’s a beauty!! The buns are better than anywhere. These are burgers you come back for again. I’d suggest a grilled chicken without all the cheese and spice. Biggest issue is the price. It can only be a treat when a burger is $17.
