Contribuiți la feedbackWhen Europeans want to relive the life of a cowboy in the “old west”, they go to a chuck wagon BBQ dinner in the USA. When visitors want to relive the life of the Alsatian cattle herders who took the cows up into the mountains to graze during the summer months, they travel into the Vosges to eat a repas marcaire, a traditional farm-style dinner. The Deybach family at the Ferme Auberge du Treh serves an excellent repas marcaire at a reasonable price, and the views from their restaurant are outstanding (lots of paragliders launching from the mountain’s crest above). The first course is tourte a la viande, a pork and veal pie enclosed in a crust and served with crudités. The main course is smoked pork shoulder with roigabrageldi (potatoes stewed with onions and bacon) and a green salad. The cheese course follows, and last comes the blueberry pie. Beer and wine are available. Make sure you are very hungry when you arrive because this is a substantial meal! Our group (20 people) considered our lunch at the Ferme Auberge du Treh to be one of the food highlights of our two weeks in Alsace. Driving note: when the nice lady in the GPS announced that we had arrived, we saw nothing to the left or right. However, when we looked over the edge to the left, we saw the Ferme Auberge du Treh below (see photo). Drive farther down the mountain and take the first left turn onto a paved road which will take you to the Ferme Auberge du Treh. Bon appétit!
We were participating in a reunionen in Alsace and the hosts had arranged for us all to visit the Auberge du Treh to taste a typical lunch. Although it took a while for the bus to get us up the mountain to the inn it was absolutely worth it. The place is so authentic. It is way up a mountain about 1100 meters above sea level. The owners were extremely friendly and the service really good. Best of all was the food. It was just so tasty and there was so much of it. Our main course for lunch was the repas marcaire a typical dish from the area. Like so many dishes in Alsace there was lots of cheese, onions and potatoes. It 's a dish that is prepared in a copper couldron. The mix just melts in your mouth. Dessert was blueberry pie yummy. If you like what you eat it 's possible to buy the locally made cheese and other produce to take with you.
Good. the time spent for the lunch that was very generous and very good, outside the pie to the mirtyllles or we were very disappointed, who had a taste of fresh pass, some of the previous day, really bad.
A brine of happiness located in a small corner of white paradise. an excellent welcome in a typical and warm setting. We were placed next to a wood stove and it is a pleasure to warm up when the mountain is snowed. The meal was really good and the service was irreproachable. we recommend it without restriction
What do you mean? Arrived there totally by chance after meeting the owner of the place that we fell totally under the charm of this place. A beautiful typical decoration, a smiling welcome, a terrace with a sublime view and to crown a meal more than perfect... than the products of the farm and local products. We will come back with great pleasure in this magical place!
