The Land Girl - Featherston

Great food and friendly service! We were happy to find this place after a long hike at the Putangirua Pinnacles Scenic Reserve! Cool spot with outdoor seating and a gift store.

Nice late lunch. Caramelized nuts too sweet in the sandwich for me, but really nice to have a veggie option and loved the other sandwich contents. Good coffee. Service friendly but indifferent. Got the feeling everyone was looking forward to closing, although this was 90 minutes before closing Didn't quite hit the mark for me this time.

A must stop off on the way to or from lake Ferry, very good coffee and cheese scone! Other counter food looked tasty, acres of outdoor seating and some sheltered couches under cover. Very homely and welcoming. Polite young lad was clearing the tables, good work . There are some very good quality blankets for sale. I want to go back already.

The wonderful thing about The Land Girl is it's such an unexpected surprise to find such a charming and convivial cafe so far off the beaten track. Even better, it has excellent coffee, delicious food and friendly land girls behind the counter what more could you ask for? Oh, and they have the best cheese and spinach scones Michele has ever had ...

Wonderful little spot with cozy, community vibes. Definitely worth a stopover if you’re in the Lake Ferry Onoke area.
