Let's talk about the food. Saffran's dishes are a wonderful representation of the diverse flavors of Uzbekistan. I started with the traditional Uzbekistani soup, Shurpa, which was a delicious blend of tender lamb, vegetables, and aromatic spices. For the main course, I tried the Plov, their signature dish. This flavorful rice pilaf with juicy meat and carrots was truly a culinary masterpiece. Each bite was rich in flavor and transported me to the bustling streets of Uzbekistan. What impressed me the most about Saffran was their use of fresh, high-quality ingredients in every dish. The attention to detail was evident, enhancing the overall dining experience. The presentation of each plate was also beautifully done, appealing to both the eyes and the taste buds. In addition to the exceptional food, Saffran offers a variety of traditional Uzbekistani beverages to accompany your meal. I had the Ayran, a refreshing yogurt-based drink, which perfectly complemented the flavorful dishes. The staff at Saffran deserves special recognition for their outstanding service. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was unforgettable. Their genuine passion for the cuisine and dedication to customer satisfaction shone through in every interaction. In conclusion, Saffran is a hidden gem in Philadelphia, offering an authentic taste of Uzbekistan. Whether you're a seasoned food lover or looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit. With its welcoming atmosphere, delectable dishes, and attentive staff, Saffran provides an exceptional dining experience that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for Uzbekistani cuisine.
Ordered ribeye, medium rare. Came well done! Replacement came medium well! Will not return
The wait at this restaurant was very long, and the food quality was poor. The shawarma meat was not fresh and very chewy. The order of fries seemed like a small side dish. I waited 20 minutes and my achik chuk salad was forgotten. When I walked in, the waitress was smoking her vape.
We had an AMAZING dinner here? All the food were yummy and in great portion, and the lamb kebab was surprisingly good
