Contribuiți la feedbackWe enjoyed dinner in the Wine Bar at the Grand Fayette Hotel in Fayetteville last night August eleventh and our dinner was excellent. The high points were a truly superb Fillet Mignon, an excellent bottle of wine and the English style Sticky Toffee Pudding that I ended dinner with. We came here at the recommendation of family and couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was delicious, the wine was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing. This is one of those hidden gems in a small town that you might not even check out if you’re not from the area. We will definitely be coming back the next time we’re in town. For anyone who hasn’t been here before (or even if you have and never ordered dessert), I cannot recommend the bread pudding enough. It’s the best I’ve ever had! This is the Premier Restaurant in Fayetteville. The food is excellent and the service is way above par. The reason I don 't give 5 stars is that they don 't seem to consider that someone might be allergic to gluten. My husband loves to eat here. There is almost nothing I can eat! $60 buffet for Father 's Day. Can 't order from a menu buffet only. Only 2 items on the buffet are gluten free. Two items for $60! The addition of a simple bowl of fruit would have given me three items, which is how many there were to eat last Father 's Day buffet. I drowned my disappointment in Mimosas, but I 'm incredulous that their only back up plan for people with allergies is too bad, so sad.
My husband and I travelled to Fayetteville for a bike ride the first weekend in June. We booked a room at the Grand Fayette Hotel which was beyond lovely! We were surprised to find in this Grand Hotel in this tiny town a 5 star restaurant! Everything about the eatery was classy. Several seating options from plush couches and chairs for sipping wine with friends and enjoying light bites to formal dining at luxurious, well appointed tables. We chose to share the Grand Charcuterie plate, some nice wine and Bourbon bread pudding! It was delicious! Chef George frequently circulated throughout the dining room checking to be sure his food was being enjoyed and the experience was special. A resounding yes to both! The restaurant was very busy however somehow, the hostess performed flawlessly as the only waitstaff as well. I kept expecting delays and truncated service but not so! She was attentive and gracious. She seemed unflappable but had to be a little stressed. However if she was, it never showed. The whole experience was just perfection! This gem is just an hour from our home. We will be coming here for a special dinner again soon!
