What a great restaurant with local food used to be a very fair price, has now turned into an overpriced restaurant under the new owner chef, which was completely empty on a Saturday afternoon we visited with 4 adults and 2 children. Positive...is that they have a children's corner with toys. we ordered 2 netzen from the daily menu, a sweet soup and omelette. children were given on our request a non-meat child meal, the smoked salmon and a fried kartoffel. 3 beer and 1 red wine. total price 122 euro, which, if the quality had been excellent, would have been in order, but given the fact that meat would have been under standard (I would not serve it to myself as steak). sweet soup was a bland potato soup and omelette perhaps the best of all dishes, but at eur 14 was of course well overpriced. all in all, price quality absolutely not worth the money. would we repeat? no recommendations to chef owners. simplify their menu, stick to local dishes and make sure that the restaurant is full with guests. sitting alone in a restaurant on a Saturday afternoon does not help
On booking we were not told that the chef was off that evening, They had one person on duty who definitely could not cook. The children ordered a burger from the kids menu and my daughter a burger from the adults menu. They came we’re...all identical all were overlooked and rock hard and all with no garnish . We asked the waiter/cook that the adult burger was the same as the kiddies version, he said that how it comes, We protested otherwise as the adult burger was double the price. To make matters worse it served dried out potato wedges that we clearly not fresh and were microwaved. I my self ordered an omelette and a side salad. I was told that salad is only served at lunch . The omelette was bland and lacking any seasoning and was on the cold side. He did not charge us for the burgers so we paid for the drinks and omelette and left hungry. I hope this was a one off as the chef was off that night. I have a holiday Home nearby but will not return. They should close to the public when the chef is off.
We stayed for one night, lovely clean accommodation, friendly staff. The room was perfect nice size, lovely bathroom everything catered for. The meal in the restaurant was delicious and freshly cooked, wine selection excellent. Lovely venue good parking and a nice place to explore after...a lovely dinner.
The chef is Mme Véronique Ranson who started this restaurant two years ago.The menu is a varied one, with an emphasis on dishes from other countries, in some of whom Mme Ranson has worked.Well prepared dishes, and good value for money, esp if combined with...staying at her small hotel on the floor above.
