Rockwell's At Nemacolin - Farmington

The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. The drinks were amazing, and the food was simply delicious. Overall, it was definitely worth it!

We ordered the dry-aged ribeye, and it was quite good. The staff was also very friendly.

The steak prepared Oscar-style was excellent. However, the menu could benefit from a little more variety; adding a sandwich or two wouldn't hurt. Everything was well executed. The staff provided fast, friendly, and professional service, making the atmosphere quite inviting. Some areas of the resort have a charming vibe, albeit a bit outdated, but the main dining area feels modern. One downside is that the bar is rather small, which seems to have been an oversight during the renovations.

The steak was much less than expected. Flavor was a miss. The first mistake I made was adding the truffle butter to my order. Lesson to be learned: never.. EVER.. have a topping or sauce placed on a $95 steak. It should be on the side then add as you desire. Btw, the truffle butter is horrible on steak. I wanted to wash it off, I actually thought about it. Sure I could complain, get compted, becoming that person that I despise, but I did asked for it. I bought it. Right is right. My potato, salad wedge and crab cake were very delicious. Great flavors. The crab was very fluffy and had great care in the preparation. Not a single stray piece of shell. I give a 4 star, because I do not feel removing the butter alone would have rescued the streak. The flavor was mellow and lacking. The balance of the meal, excellent service and atmosphere actually pushed my review from 3 to 4 stars. Those were the gems of the evening.

The steaks here are fantastic. The best food at nemacolin in my opinion. Wont get a better steak.
