Caffé Torino - Farmington

First off, the crepes here were awesome! They were some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the strawberries and cream crepes….absolutely amazing! However…..the service here definitely missed the mark. They do have a sign up that clearly states that it can take a bit of time getting orders out. I have no problem with that. Our order (5 people) came out quicker than I expected. However, we saw two tables that had ordered well before us whose food took well over an hour (around 75 minutes) to arrive. We felt bad as we ordered after them and were a larger group than them (both tables had a party of two people). We could see and hear both of those tables complaining about the wait. Though our food was excellent, they messed up three things on our order. Our latte didn’t come with a shot of flavoring we asked for, the turkey panini came with cheese (we specifically asked three times when ordering for it to have no cheese) and the donuts we ordered never came. We sat in the back area. Each time an order came out of the kitchen, the server would yell the person’s name, which was almost always terribly mispronounced. They would yell out the mispronounced name, and no one answered because the names were mispronounced. That happened three times, each with extremely common, easy names. Again, the food was great, but service certainly could be improved.

Had such a wonderful experience! Cute little “bistro”. Has been given awards for best informal dining. The atmosphere as well as the food was charming and delicious! Already planning on going back.

I’ve been here a few times now and they exceed my expectations every time! The food is incredible along with the coffee and the service is fantastic. I can tell the owner is passionate about his business and the experience of his customers. Very intimate atmosphere with homey decorations and dining. This gem is a favorite of mine and I’ll definitely be coming back!

We're from Ohio and stop here every time we're in town (our son lives here, . Wish we had one of these at home. Fantastic food, lovely setting. Nice decorations.

I've been coming to Café Torino for a few years now and I've always had a pretty good experience. One thing that's always bothered me since I started coming here is that they don't hand you a table marker/number when you make your order, they just ask for your name. This leads to servers constantly walking around asking for names so they can find the correct table to bring the orders to. Not only has this led to me telling three different servers where my table is in one visit, but it has also caused confusion before when I unknowingly gave the same name as someone else. Another issue I believe this would solve is that if there was a table marker still on the table they would know whether or not we had everything from our order instead of circling back to our table to make sure we got our entire order. I really really wish they would just hand everyone a table marker so I wouldn't have to wave down different servers every few minutes while the orders are being served.
