Attended for an afternoon tea that a friend had arranged via Groupon. We booked for a group of 7. We were placed on 3 very small bistro type tables pushed together on the the side of the main walk way through the resturant. There was no room to fit the food and drinks on the table and every time someone walked past it felt like they were in the middle of your group. The staff were disinterested in providing service. They were not willing to take into account dietary requirements and served the vegetarians option on the same crockery are tuna sandwiches. Really disapointing.
Me my work colleague decided to try something different to eat on our miserable Friday afternoon, all we could think about were Panini 's. We thought we would try SDM Coffee house as the Bacon Brie Panini appealed to me the Tuna Crunch Panini appealed to my colleague. However, I didn 't expect to pay £4.35 for something that looked like a toasted sandwich had hardly any filling in it. I was disgusted. My colleagues 'Panini ' had no crunch to it, all that was in it was tuna cheese when it said on the menu it came with peppers red onion in it too. We were really disappointing with our lunch. The cakes are nice, but if your looking for a Panini your more than likely going to get a toasted sandwich.
We purchased a chocolate party. Excellent value with Groupon. The children all loved it, they got to decorate a chef's hat when they arrived, had a variety of chocolate themed activities and then had some party food. They were also given a fun box to take their chocolate goodies home in. Made it really easy for us. Very impressed. Thank you.
My wife was given a Groupon voucher for tea for two. We booked through their website their booking page, to our surprise, didn't ask for a date or time (a web design error, we thought, which is interesting in view of the other business activities of the company), but we put that in the commments, and received a confirmation quite quickly. We thought this was an unusual establishment it was the first time we ever saw a coffee house combined with a web design studio but apart from some posters and other advertising material for the web design services they offer, you don't notice much difference with a normal coffee shop. We were welcomed, and since the few tables were all taken, we were shown to a seating area at the back, where our tea for two was served. There was a good choice of sandwiches, sweet choices and of course scones, jam and cream. Service was friendly and prompt. All in all we had an enjoyable experience, and we'd definitely recommend the coffee house to other. But how a coffee house which has been combined with a web design studio can have a web site with a booking page that hasn't been thought through very well, is a mystery to us...
