We absolutely adore this restaurant and make sure to visit every time we're in the area. The food and service are top-notch, and the cozy small town vibe adds to the overall experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I visited the BBQ Shack on my drive from Cross City to Tampa. I arrived on a Monday morning right when they opened at 11am. The service staff were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Lunch Special with extra sides: a Pulled Pork Sandwich, Cole Slaw, Fried Okra, Corn Nuggets, and Sweet Tea. The portions were generous and the BBQ was some of the best I've ever had. The meat was tender, juicy, and there was plenty of it. They offered three choices of BBQ sauce: sweet, mild, and hot. The sandwich bun was fresh and soft. I also got a pint of Brunswick Stew to go, which was delicious. The BBQ Shack was clean and comfortable, despite its name. The restroom was also clean. I highly recommend stopping by the BBQ Shack if you're in the Fanning Springs area and craving barbecue. Wheelchair accessibility was good, as my rollator walker was easy to navigate throughout the establishment.

The food is excellent, especially the BBQ sauce which is a must try. I personally prefer the sweet sauce. The food and service are both rated 5 out of 5, with the atmosphere receiving a 4 out of 5.
