If you pay with a credit card, they will overcharge you. They prefer cash to avoid tax reporting. I went for lunch and the bill was different depending on whether I paid with cash or a credit card. One time, I ordered pho with a small addition of meatballs and they added 10 meatballs, which was unbelievable.

We visited the restaurant at the end of February. It wasn't very busy, possibly due to fear of COVID-19. Our pho arrived only 5 minutes after we ordered and it was delicious. If the server had been friendlier, I would have given them 5 stars.

After I moved from southern California, where they have amazing Vietnamese food, I was looking for a place that was authentic at affordable prices. hai duong makes it happy. the place is located in the eden center mall, but is super spacious and great for large groups. the menu is super expansiw, but everything is really solid. they have some of the best pho, although they have not specialized in these like other Vietnamese restaurants. I also love their rice dishes like the combo plate with garnel cake, pork chop and vermicelli pork. so solid! highly recommended to also get a side of the broth with each of their dishes; is so good. service is friendly and overall it is a great place to go and I bless it always!

My husband and I had the shrimp spring rolls for our appetizer, and they kindly made them without pork. The seafood egg noodles were delicious, but it felt a little light on the noodles and spice. I added more sauce for flavor, but everything was cooked well! My husband ordered a hot soup noodle dish with congealed duck blood, and his was appropriately spicy. Both dishes were delicious, but mine felt slightly unsatisfying. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the busing of the tables was quick and thorough. We wouldn't mind returning, but next time I may order more food.
