Maneki Neko Japanese Restaurant

A cute Japanese restaurant in the heart of falls church city! I loved the cozy atmosphere and the staff was so friendly. I ordered something a little bit off-menu (katsu curry) but they were happy to oblige and it was so good! They were super generous with the ingredients- a lot more chicken than I expected in the curry, but everything was cooked down so well and the carrots were nice and soft. They had some specials up on the walls that I'm looking forward to trying next time!

Modest space with nice outdoor seating in front and attentive service, plus parking in the rear. The sushi, while good, wasn’t particularly great and some pieces tasted more fresh than others. Very good prices though, especially for the $11 lunch bento box deal.

Such a yummy, casual spot! I went for lunch with a friend. The staff were are super polite and friendly. I got the super lunch bento box (pic included it came with miso soup too) and it didn’t disappoint! The portion of chicken was very generous. The prices were great. I parked down the road on the street. The parking behind this place was reserved parking only, or at least that’s what was available when I went. I highly recommend eating here!!

Had a nice dinner here on the Sunday before labor day, so I'm guessing that was why it was so busy with people dinning in and with people getting take out. There was only one person taking orders, so things were a bit slow. But the food was great, which is all we cared about. I got the Maki entree, which is the attached picture, it also came with a bowl of miso soup.

Cute place. We entered through the back entrance where there is some parking. We got nigiri, the Sashimi deluxe, and a couple rolls. They had some HH prices for the Nigiri. Mackarel was $1.75/piece. Tamago was $3.50/piece. Flying Fish Roe and Octopus was both $5.50/piece. We also got some Eel and Squid. For our rolls, we got the Tuna Avocado Roll and the Surf and Turf. The Surf and Turf isn't exactly what I was expecting but overall the food was pretty good. Great service
