Higson Sea Food - Fall River

The price of clams doubled because of the holiday, but I discovered that this wasn't the case at other places, which really says a lot about this restaurant. Additionally, the clams had a lot of sand in them, indicating they were just scooping them up by the bushel. Overall, I’d rate the food a 2 out of 5.

Had a fantastic fried fish sandwich. I only wish they had seating inside or at least a bunch outside so you could eat it fresh I'm not a fan of to go food. I want to eat it at its best which is right when they hand it to you!

NO I do not recommend. This happened quite a while ago but was so terrible I have to comment. I was having a graduation party and ordered prepared clam boil for 80 people. The morning of the party I arrived at Higsons and a worker loaded several crates into my trunk. At home when I opened the crates what I found was nothing had been prepared. Bags of sausages, sandy clams and dirty unpeeled potatoes. They were kind enough to throw the muslin bags on top of everything. When I called the store to ask what the heck was up with this… they hung up on me. I had to call family members over to help peel the potatoes and prepare the bags. Forget properly soaking the clams. It was a disaster! A very bizarre and very bad experience.

Great place, great people. Raw seafood, live crabs plus a full menu of cooked, prepared dishes. I'll give them 5 stars because I can't give 6.Food: 5/5

The food here is simply amazing, and the portions are gigantic! You can easily share the fisherman's platter with someone. The clam cakes and fish and chips are fantastic. I just wish they had longer hours! Food: 5/5
