Two Doors Up Cafe & Bar - FAIRY MEADOW

I've been to Two Door up cafe on many occasions for coffee, cake and lunch but never again after the poor service and coffee that was served to me last Saturday. The order taking was out of control. After waiting approximately 15 minutes for my coffee I was told it would be a few more minutes and the when it arrived it was not what I ordered!! I advised my order was incorrect and an apology was given it but it was another 5 minutes for my coffee (weak flat white) and the another 5 minutes for my dry and tasteless muffin. Sorry to say, Never again will I visit Two Doors Up Cafe.

This has been a favourite in Wollongong to get delicious Pide, but unfortunately not anymore. After receiving our order, it was noticeably smaller sizes and the Pide bases were wet and the pastry lacked the same texture as before. I suspected that a change in ownership had occurred and my enquiry about that was confirmed. I doubt I will return again after this experience.

We popped in here today for a quick lunch...We had quick and friendly service. We had the open chicken, avocado and sundried tomato cheese melts on Turkish pide...and it was delicious. Banana smoothie also very good. We will be back

A quick lunch for two. We were in a hurry. My friend ordered a sandwich, I ordered a quick item too and we both had coffee. My friend finishes her lunch, we both finish our coffee and still I am waiting. Three times I asked politely for my lunch without receiving it.The supervisor/owner, (who knows) watched as I sat up straight in my chair anticipating that the plate coming forward might be mine... never was. She is making coffee and keeps staring at me. Eventually she comes to the middle of the floor and shouts at me in front of all the customers that I shouldn't be sitting there complaining that I don't have my lunch yet. Well she did well informing the whole place of my dissatisfaction! I felt like I'd been held hostage. I paid for the food at time of ordering, I came for lunch with a friend, normally that would mean you eat together. At least 20 minutes after my friend finished, mine arrived. Bad Service? Don't even look as though you're unhappy, you'll be served rudeness not food.

This is nice little cafe on the main road in Fairy Meadow, with adequate free parking. Breakfast & lunch are nice & they serve good coffee. This place comes into its own though on a Friday night. Cool in the summer with nice deck area but nice & cosy on a cooler evening with outdoor heating. You can have a meal or share tasting plates or pizza with friends. Drink prices are very competitive I think their house red is one of the best I have tried.It has a relaxed, yet intimate "Newtown type" vibe. If you're looking a a relaxed Friday night out with a group of friends or an intimate dinner date I would thoroughly recommend.
