Contribuiți la feedbackThe place is very well held even thought the bar down stairs seems small they have an area up to rent for events. I know I've been eating her food for a long time. Personal pizza at the bar amazing. Ask for the party chips with Chili You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back and make more memories.
We live in Texas...on vacation we always go Elk Creek for a good time. While there I noticed the smoker sitting outside, talking with Ron the owner, we talked about BBQ and the next day went back for ribs, Mac n Cheese, beans, cornbread. I felt like I was home in TX. You have to go and have the Beans and BBQ! It's every bit of TX BBQ without going to TX!!! Ron and his wife Jan are Great peeps and make better Q than anyone in Erie, I will guarantee it!!!
We stopped in late one night and the owners were welcoming patient with us despite being the only 2 working after a long, busy day. We loved the atmosphere the food was delicious! They serve some tasty fries, if you’re into that kind of thing.
We stopped at the Sterrettania Rd. exit from I-90 west of Erie, PA and stayed at the Comfort Inn, however, their restaurant was not open. We went to the Elk Creek Tavern Restaurant, just a short hop down Sterrettania Rd. from the expressway. Boy, am I glad we did! We had the Pepperoni Balls for an appetizer. They are pepperoni rolled up into a ball of dough and deep fried... Yummm! I had the Pepperoni Hoagie and it was awesome! Their French Fries are extremely good and a consistent golden brown. My Wife had the Elk Creek Burger, which was also excellent! My Daughter had the Carolina Burger and my Grandson had the Philly Cheese Steak, another pair of home runs! My Daughter and Grandson both ordered the Greek Sauce for their French Fries, thinking it on the order of catsup. Turns out it is a Greek inspired meat sauce that they loved! We stopped by on a rather quiet rainy Sunday evening and were one of a handful of patrons. Ron and Janice, the owners, were the crew for the evening and were very welcoming and great to talk with! The Elk Creek Tavern Restaurant may be about 1.3 miles to the south off I-90 at exit 18, but it is well worth the trip!
Just stopped for a couple beets. Neat older place. Menu was large for being a bar but already ate before we got there.
