Burntwood Tavern Fairlawn

I ordered takeout over the phone, and the hostess informed me that it would be ready "soon." Normally, I receive a specific time to pick up my food. When I arrived 30 minutes later, my order wasn't ready. I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes in the restaurant. I didn’t expect it to take over an hour to prepare just two sandwiches and a small portion of fries. When I finally got my food, I was disappointed to find that there were hardly any fries in each order. After such a long wait, I expected at least a decent amount of fries. On a positive note, the crispy chicken sandwich was quite good and generously thick.

I decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the Angus sliders while my husband went for the Angus burger. I didn't try the burger, so I can't comment on its taste, but his fries were really good. The Angus sliders were decent, though I wish the meat had a bit more seasoning. I would definitely order them again. I also had a glass of water, which tasted fresh and clean, so no complaints there. Based on my lunch experience, I would visit this location again.

The bartender, Annie, was very friendly and welcoming. She clearly knows how to do her job and manage a variety of interesting customers all at once—truly a multitasking master! Chef Eddie deserves a shout-out for coming out to check on tables; it was great to see him engaging with guests to get a sense of their opinions.

"I started with the calamari appetizer, and it was enormous! The accompanying sauces included a marinara that was quite tasty. The calamari itself was decent, but I found it a bit difficult to eat as it could have been cut into smaller pieces. I had to somewhat dismantle it, which wasn't the easiest task. For my entree, I ordered the Harvest Asiago Salad, which was also quite good and generously portioned. Overall, the meal was a little better than what I would expect from a higher-end restaurant. I would definitely consider visiting again."

My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the drinks were delicious as well. We would definitely not hesitate to return.
