The shepherd’s pie is massive, and the pizza, while simple, is expertly prepared. I've visited a couple of times, and the service at the bar has been excellent. I have no significant complaints. It’s a clean and comfortable establishment that doesn’t have that overly local vibe.
The Moroccan mussels are the best mussels I've ever had, they were great. Service was great, and the Scallops over risotto was ? too.
They seem understaffed. Everyone is sweet, but everything takes a little too long to get. Drinks, food, the check. Just be sure to leave yourself time to enjoy your time so you're not frustrated.
Chowder was good. Fries were good. Baked haddock was tasteless. It appears as though it was baked plain and then seasoned breadcrumbs were sprinkled on top. They were dry and not cooked with the fish and likewise no flavoring from the breadcrumbs made it’s was to the fish. Never seen this before and wouldn’t recommend
Stopped by for a quick beer. The bartender was friendly and also a fellow photographer. One of these days I'll have to drop in for a meal.
