The Fairfield Deli And Grill

We always have a great time dining at Fairfield Social. The nachos were delicious, as were all of our meals.

The food was tasty, but the service was lacking. We often had to ask for utensils multiple times before receiving them. Additionally, a dessert we ordered was never delivered and only arrived after we had already paid the bill, so we decided to take it with us in a takeout container.

The drinks and food at this restaurant were fantastic! The wait time for brunch wasn't too long; we were seated right away when we arrived around noon on a Friday. The service was fairly quick, but you have to ask for everything as the staff seems to lack common sense. Overall, the food was excellent and it's a great spot for brunch.

We were happy to get a table for seven on a Friday night with just a couple hours notice. Now we know why. The food was mediocre and overpriced and the service was awful. Waitress was nice enough, but seemed stressed out and overwhelmed and it was not even CLOSE to being busy. I've waited many a table in my day and this was a LIGHT service Friday evening. Maybe it was get first night? We should have known better than to stay given the space on a Friday night, but company was great and we needed to eat and had heard good things so we gave it a shot. Will definitely be our last time. We waited over an hour for food for APPETIZERS and we had three young children with us! Never have I seen this. No communication from the kitchen or the wait staff. We waited a half hour JUST FOR DRINKS. ? There were tables seated next to us that got entrees before we even had appetizers. And again....IT WAS NOT BUSY. Once we finally got food, it was not great, but it was expensive. I thought at the very least they would comp our drinks but...nope. Not a penny taken off. Just not even close to good enough when there are so many good options in town.

We were happy to get a reservation for a large on late notice Saturday night but suspect their really slow service was the reason. The food was excellent, but the service was very disjointed and inconsistent. Took a long time to order, receive our drinks, and get our food. Needed a couple of reminders for drinks. They had a lot of staff and the restaurant wasn't crowded, so not sure what the issue was.
