Mama Chow - Fairfield

Mama Chow's is an excellent choice for both take-out and dining in. The food is bursting with flavor. The mala tofu served with sticky rice is truly exceptional—definitely ask for extra mala if you enjoy a spicy kick. The spring rolls are also fantastic, especially when enjoyed in the restaurant. The noodle dishes are authentic and packed with taste. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back. I highly recommend it!

This place is truly the best of the best, no question about it. I've followed Mama Chow from her previous job, and she has absolutely nailed it with this family-owned restaurant. The food is delicious every single time! Everything is always incredibly fresh!

I've visited twice now, and although I've ordered the same thing each time, it hasn't diminished the experience at all. The Laksa is absolutely amazing. I've tried both the chicken and pork versions as well as the seafood Laksa, and each one was perfect. I like my food spicy, and they offer a house-made spicy paste featuring shrimp paste that adds a wonderful kick and flavor while still allowing the creamy coconut curry to shine through. The service is excellent—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. There’s plenty of parking available. The space is small and busy, but even with a wait, the service is quick, and everything I’ve had has been hot and fresh. They also serve a house-made limeade that’s the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s a must-have if you're a limeade fan. This place will definitely continue to be my go-to spot whenever I crave a comforting bowl of Laksa.

Mama Chow is amazing!!!! I think the move is to get a bunch of the small plates and share so you can try as much of the menu. My favorites are the bao, seasoned edamame, grilled pork but you really can't go wrong. Great service and nice employees too.

I am blown away by this restaurant, the meal was packed with flavor and then some more.For appetizers, we ordered the kale salad (so delicious), the edamame (must order, I don’t know what seasoning is on here, but it’s crack and I want more of it), the Vietnamese spring rolls (purely amazing), and the mushroom dumplings (melting with flavor).Honestly next time I go, I’m going to order the entire appetizer menu and skip on the entree. What a great way to taste many different things and share plates with your friends.As an entree I got the special summer noodles, which was a vermicelli cold salad bowl with pork, veggies, and the spring rolls.Whether you do take out or dine in, this place must not be missed. It’s absolutely so delicious. If I lived in Westport, I would come eat here every week.
