Flipside Burgers - Fairfield

I ordered a classic bacon cheeseburger, but the patty was clearly a frozen one. I would need to witness it being fresh cooked to believe otherwise. The burger had absolutely no flavor—no salt at all. Not even ketchup, honey mustard, or spicy mayo could salvage it. While I was eating, I saw two different tables return their meals. One customer complained that their burger was undercooked, while another simply said they didn’t like their food. I’m not sure if the kitchen staff was having an off night, but based on this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning. I understand that bad days happen, but seeing two customers send back their food within an hour isn't a good sign.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the service is excellent. However, I was disappointed with the meal. Both the burger and fries were overcooked.

Crowded and atmosphere was fun and comfortable. Our table rocked, so it was a bit annoying. We ordered design your own burgers and they were good except that they were well done (ordered medium rare). The vegetable fillings like lettuce tomato onions and jalapeños were crispy fresh and excellent. The buns were soggy and essentially fell apart. Fries totally sucked. Both regular fries and sweet potato fries. Regular fries were hard and dry and tasted like they had been sitting around and reheated. Sweet potato fries were greasy limp and burned. Paid extra for sweet potato fries substitution and we could not eat them because they were so bad. Service was fine and pretty fast. Overall, it was like eating at a cafeteria at work.

Love love love it! Service is amazing! Drinks are greattt and you have to try the shrimp tacos !!!
