Avatar Indian Grill - Fairfield

I recently went to Avatar for dinner for two. It is not very large perhaps 12 tables, mostly two tops with a couple of four tops. There was one waiter on duty, and he was very friendly and attentive, and even ran out to stop us when I left my credit card in the bill folder. The food was excellent. We ordered palak paneer and lamb vindaloo with paratha bread. The palak paneer was very fresh, the lamb extraordinarily tender, and the bread quite tasty. Rice was served as a free side. I hadn't seen paratha on a menu before, and it turned out to be about midway between naan and roti in terms of flavor and texture. It came out fresh and warm from the oven and complemented the dishes very well. Definitely worth checking out if you find yourself craving Indian food in Salinas.

Always very good! The burger meat by itself is juicy, tender tasty plenty! The rest of the burger is on point. The fish is good as well.

The food was decent pasta was little dry and cold burger was good

Chicken Wonton Tacos not a lot of filling. Hand-Battered Fish Chips, batter was soggy. Food was cold.

We ordered the 2 for $25, it was a great. It arrived hot, and the taste was fantastic. The only disappoint was the tamper proof tape was not place properly on the bag to ensure the meal's safe arrival.
