Zach's Express Room Lounge - Fairbanks

The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. I always have a wonderful experience dining here.

We chose this place for breakfast because it was the only option available, but honestly, at $23.67 per person, we would have been better off at McDonald's. Apparently, they offer a breakfast buffet on Mondays, but the food was disappointing. The sausage was undercooked, the powdered eggs were dry and tasteless, and the gravy for the biscuits had onions in it and was too runny. You could tell the danishes were store-bought from Costco. While the waitstaff was friendly, it was clear that English was not their first language, and one staff member seemed to know only to ask if we wanted "water?" Additionally, we had to wait nearly 15 minutes after finishing our meal just to receive our checks. We won’t be returning.

They promoted breakfast with a menu and affordable prices. However, when we arrived, we found a buffet that was quite expensive and only mediocre.

Food was a let down compared to what I had expected from my last visit. However I havnt been since pre covid. Pasta dish was very bland and uniform texture, tons of sauce and very little pasta. Pasta tasted like it had been prep cooked in a large batch and reheated, the Ruben tasted like mayonays and was just dripping with sauce, meat tasted like it was slow cooked in water leaving a lot to be desired. Atmosphere was fantastic ?

I enjoyed Zach's, but they could work on the atmosphere a bit. At first glance, it looks pretty nice. There was quite a bit of noise from the hotel patrons, unfortunately.
