Wasabi Bay Sushi - Fairbanks

Sam is a brilliant sushi cook! he told him and I wanted to try out everything and he didn't disappoint! great to sit at the sushi bar and chat with the friendly locals!

This restaurant is definitely our favorite dining spot in the Fairbanks area. We moved here a few months ago, and this was the first place we tried. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and treated us like friends. The sushi is outstanding, and the chef is truly talented. We've enjoyed sushi at many places across the USA, and this is among the best we've had. I would rate it a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend checking out more local gems!

This was one of the first great sushi restaurants in Fairbanks, and it's still one of many I've come to enjoy. I try a little bit of everything and regularly change up my orders, but I've yet to find a dish I didn't like. The prices vary depending on the selection of different alcoholic beverages, which can add up quickly, especially if you decide to indulge in a few bottles of Korean rice wine.

I absolutely love this place, it's a chill hole in the wall kind of place with delicious food. The sushi here is the best in town and there's a huge selection. The chef and servers are very friendly. Price is good for Fairbanks and definitely worth it.

I rated this restaurant 4 stars, and the only reason for not giving it 5 was the water. It had a strange, cellulosic appearance, with something resembling a lemon seed floating in it, so we decided not to drink it. However, the food was phenomenal! The miso soup was excellent, and the salad was great. The fried gyoza was wonderful! My partner had the udon, which was amazing—perfectly cooked noodles. He also ordered a Hawaiian roll and loved it. I tried the red dragon roll, which I would recommend to anyone who can handle spicy food. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared, despite some mixed reviews I had seen. The service was good, but be prepared to clarify your order, as the staff's English isn't perfect. Our waitress was friendly and clearly good at her job. We will definitely eat here again!
