The Local - Fairbanks

Late Post Sep 23’ 3.5-5 Other than North Pole Coffee this seemed to be the better choice. Shared breakfast with my partner and it was sufficient, got full but not overly full! It’s a bit odd that you have to order at the bar then get your dish take to the table and if you want something you gotta get back up to ask for it at the bar. I did notice the guy next to us order the same thing but he got more eggs and hash browns… LOL am I that girl, yes I am! (missing a star, work on portions) overall the service was ok – had to wait for the waitress for a cool min who was having breakfast in the back and came out with her mouth full! (Missing Star)

Pathetically slow service. Arrived a full hour before our flight out. Was repeatedly ignored by staff. Had to flag down a waitress, who finally took our order. Never heard from her again. Had to leave to catch our flight with no food or drinks delivered. I would give negative points if that were an option.

Management should be fired. I doubt the owners care since they are the only food service in the airport. From the time I sat at a table that was not clean prior to being greeted was 35 minutes. No acknowledgement from staff. Table was not even clean after I was serviced. I say again, Management should be fired. Nothing else matters when service is spectacularly abysmal.

I sat down at a table to enjoy a cold brew before my flight. I sat at my table for 15 minutes with not 1 person acknowledging I was there. I finally went and got in line at the bar to order and stood in line for another 10 minutes without being acknowledged. When the bartender finally acknowledged I was there she acted like I was an inconvenience and very rude. Highly disappointed in this establishment as I am a Fairbanks local. I wonder what people out of state think about this state.

However the hours are inconsistent and frustrating when you show on a Saturday afternoon and they’re closed.
