The Big I Pub And Lounge - Fairbanks

A few years ago, I visited this bar and encountered a bouncer who left a negative impression on me. He was a scrawny, nerdy-looking white guy with glasses, yet he was in decent shape. While he didn't directly confront me, I witnessed him kick a patron out and then make mocking gestures towards the man while trying to comfort the man's girlfriend. It was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. Perhaps he was bullied in the past, which might explain his behavior, but it seems like gaining some physical strength led him to develop a really toxic attitude. People like that can be quite dangerous, showing a lack of morals and respect for others.

The drinks were excellent, and the decor is charming. However, the TouchTunes machine wasn't connected to the speaker, so it accepted my money but played the song on mute. Additionally, the music from the DJ wasn't very good.

I visited on karaoke night and was impressed by the genuine singing talent present. The beer was served ice-cold, and the atmosphere was lively with a large, friendly crowd. I met some wonderful people and had an overall fantastic experience.

The bar was incredibly friendly, and as visitors to Fairbanks, the staff and locals made us feel truly welcome.
