Pike's Landing - Fairbanks

The bar manager has a rude attitude. I recommend steering clear of this place. It’s a frustrating experience in Alaska!

I had visited this restaurant twice before our last visit and had a great experience both times. Unfortunately, the third visit did not meet the same standards. Our food was served cold, and it took over an hour and a half for our meals to arrive. My grandbaby became cranky during the wait, and surprisingly, the restaurant wasn’t busy. I also ordered a couple of specialty drinks, but the bar didn’t have the necessary ingredients to prepare them. The server attempted to assist, but overall, it was disappointing.

We attended the Mother's Day brunch at Pikes, opting for the 10 AM seating. The restaurant was crowded, but we didn't mind. However, the lines for the buffet stretched out the front door, as the buffet is set up in the bar area, making the wait quite lengthy.

You might feel like you've stepped into a tourist trap when you arrive here; it definitely has that vibe. The lunch we had was decent, but nothing to get particularly excited about.

I was recommended this place by friends who stayed at the hotel next door. It was a Sunday night during winter, and not much else was open, so I decided to give it a try...
