Cold Stone Creamery - Fairbanks

I thought it had been five years since my last visit to Cold Stone. I ordered a mix of mint and peanut butter, which was delicious, but I didn't really taste the mint—I guess the peanut butter was too overpowering. Also, I would advise against the gummy bears; they are very sweet but too hard to chew.

We live far away, but the food hasn't been great and has upset our stomachs. They really need to offer lactose-free options, so we won't be returning. I can stick to store-bought ice cream and save $10 each time I go out.

Ladies who work there have great customer service. They were friendly and punctual.

You can never go wrong with ice cream. They usually have a kind of milk free taste, but today they had almond milk ice cream. That was a very nice surprise! I brought an ice cream cake that was nicely finished, and I couldn't give up chocolate almond milk ice cream!

The ice cream was enjoyable, and the service was decent. However, there was an issue with my tip; I left a zero dollar tip, but it was incorrectly recorded as an $8 tip on my receipt, which I wasn’t given. I contacted the store, and the manager seemed unsure about how to refund the tip, so they reached out to the owner. While attempting to process the refund to my card, the cashier accidentally charged me another $8. In the end, I received $16 in cash.
