Souley Vegan - ez

New spot in Martinez. Came with friends and was pleasantly surprised. Limited menu but full of flavor. Treat yourself to the hot water cornbread. Servic seemed a tad slow and some items were missing from orders. After several reminders the missing portions were promised. Vegetarian options: This place is vegan so all vegetarian.

Saw that Souley Vegan was going to be selling their delicious vegan food at the Santa Cruz Mushroom Festival, so I went to support my favorite vegan restaurant!.Had I known they were going to take capitalism seriously I would have NEVER wasted my time and gas actually it was worth it to learn a lot from the presentation and other vendors).Their food stand had their 3 items beautifully displayed without prices listed all other food vendors had prices listed). The three items for sale were, lions mane mushroom slider or a plant based cheese burger or a kale tail. I know lions manes are costly by the pound. ONE slider cost $20! As well as the plant based cheese burger AND the ONE stalk of fried kale was $20! This explains why the prices were not displayed! If I walked by and saw the three appetizers listed for $20, I would have kept on walking!!! Could have least given 2 sliders for $20! Or fried mushrooms with the kale! Or a brown bag with at least 5 kale leaves inside. I won’t be supportive anymore after experiencing price gouging from my favorite restaurant… I was bamboozled!

I tried the sizzlin' skillet mac ‘n cheese, the proud mary burger, dirty cajun fries, and a side of cornbread. Everything was so rich and scrumptious. Wish I had saved room for dessert.

Says open on Google and this app but they are most definitely closed. The phone number listed is disconnected. Bummer, was really looking forward to trying this place.

Parking: I was there on a Tuesday around dinner time and there was plenty of street parking . Kid-friendliness: Although I didn't bring any children. It is a loud, fun environment. I believe children would love it.
