The Exmore Diner

Vintage diner atmosphere with very fast waitresses. My cousin and I stopped for breakfast on our way back home at nine o'clock. We were both in the mood for biscuits and sausage gravy, But were told they were all out, so we opted for the cream chipped beef. I ordered mine on rye bread and my cousin ordered his on home fries. Both of our dishes came out cold and mine came out on whole wheat instead of rye bread. I have to say my meal was pretty tasteless. I guess two locals sat down at the counter next to us and got their food and drinks, even though we came in before them. I didn't say anything because we wanted to get home (6 hour drive). Both of our meals came out to $28. Crazy pricing. Would not return and would not recommend. The 2 star rating is for our waitress, who is very fast with our drinks. At least the food came out at a reasonable time, even though it was incorrect and cold.

We are spending the night in Exmore on our way home from Hilton Head. The clerk in the hotel recommended we eat here. It was a wonderful experience. It is on old fashioned diner that looks a little sketchy on the outside but the food is really delicious. I had fried. Pork chops with onion gravy and Lima beans and beets on the side. The pork chops were lightly breaded and very juicy not at all greasy. The gravy was perfect with the pork. I loved the line beans and beets. We also had corn bread included with the meal. The service was excellent and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Great little diner. Very popular with locals. We had delicious food (chicken fried steak, marinated chicken, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and these delicious tiny little rolls). Food was fresh, well made, service was very good and prices were fair. Going back in the morning for breakfast!

Very nice place with extremely friendly staff and very tasty food. It's all very personal and personable.

Delicious always. Cheeseburgers are the best and my gf got a homemade real milk shake! I also got the dumpling soup for take out dinner and it was amazing The staff is so friendly. Definitely go here! Seafood is the freshest and delicious Definitely get it and Smith island cake!
