The Sawyers Arms - Exeter

We had a lovely evening with our family who had traveled all the way from Tiverton. We enjoyed a delicious local vegetable soup, followed by a tender fillet steak and a rich plum pudding.

I had a wonderful Sunday dinner at this restaurant, just like my mother used to make. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the roast potatoes were nice and crispy, just the way my father liked them.

I absolutely adore this place. I always have a satisfying meal, reasonably priced drinks, and the atmosphere is clean and pleasant. It's definitely better than a particular Wetherspoons in the city center.

Breakfast was good and service was quick. Coffee not great for oat milk drinkers, as only served in tiny sachets which were not very nice. Noisy staff shouting across the pub to communicate with each other and the pub itself is dark, dirty and dated so not a particularly pleasant atmosphere.
