Chevalier Inn - Exeter

Sat on roof terrace to take in the view of cathedral. ‘Cheesy Chips’ arrived. I mentioned to the waitress that bones y were these cheesy chips, There was about 20 shavings of grated cheese on them. She offered no replacement. After 50mins waiting for drinks we approached bar to find them sat at the end of bar waiting to go out. We mentioned to bar man the dreadful service, no apology given.

Had breakfast here while away this weekend now I understand Wetherspoons is cheap and cheerful but I have worked for them I know they still expect good standards. This place was awful. We order different two breakfast. Eggs Benedict with black pudding. Turned up with no black pudding and not Very warm. Mine was normal breakfast. Turns up with. No hash browns but an extra egg. Man serving us was very helpful and polite. And said he would fix this. However the extra then took 10 mins to come out. By the time They did we had eaten (cold) breakfast and extra themselves were cold.!! Staff are friendly and helpful Though and it does seem clean in there

Very slow service, took over an hour for our drinks to come. The restaurant was dirty for the whole duration of stay the tables weren't cleared. When the food eventually came it was cold. It wasn't even Very busy for a Saturday lunchtime. Very disappointed

When we arrived we ordered our meals , we were told it would be an hour ,fine the 4 of us had some chatting to do , our friends meal turned up just after an hour .,and my husband and I were told ours was on its way and the salad I had ordered was off the menu !!!, 20 minutes later our meal turned up we were told it took longer than the first mixed grill because I had ordered steak really ... it turned up eventually , it was actually stone cold ,the normal salad had been under a light and was dead and limp , will be giving this place a real big miss ,money was refunded as the waitress asked ,what do you want me to do about it ?

I've just gone into the pub and all the staff are just standing around i counted at least 9 staff and one serving absolutely rubbish again last time for me. all the pubs your shutting down shut this one
