Tamar Valley Wine Centre - Exeter

The food and ambiance at this restaurant are excellent. We were interested in doing a wine tasting, but we found the price of $20 for 4 wines to be a bit steep.

I have eaten here, with my friend, three times. Every time the meals have been excellent, the staff super friendly and the value for money is pretty good too. Today I had the “three dips and pita bread” platter, which was huge. It had olives, feta cheese, three dips, cucumber, carrot and celery. I also had some very good assistance in choosing a Tasmanian red wine which I don’t usually drink. My friend had part of the “breakfast until 11.30” menu; she had scrambled eggs and bacon, with which she was very happy. This is the best place in Exeter to get a good meal, value for money and great service.. It is also fairly quiet, which amazes me. I think everyone goes to the local take-always and cafes without realising they can get a much better meal here. Also, the background music here is more to my taste, more seventies/eighties music rather than techno. And there’s good wine here as well. Give this place a try.

We came here for lunch on our first day in the Tamar Valley and it didn’t disappoint. Pizza was delicious and our wine tasting rack was the perfect intro to Tassie wines!! Staff was so knowledgeable and gave us so many recommendations!!!

Just dropped in for a tasting but ended up having a great meal. Highly recommend the pork belly with amazing mash and veggies. Nice atmosphere and really friendly knowledgeable staff.

Cannot recommend this place more! Food and service were lovely, very knowledgeable about wine. Get the pork belly!
